SUPER SEPTEMBER

Greetings in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and a warm welcome to this brand-new month of September!

The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7:

“God gave us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind.”

God always desires to empower us—not for selfish gain, but so that we can become instruments of change and channels of blessing in society. His gifts of power, love, and a sound mind are given with a purpose.

Power is not for pride, domination, or crushing the powerless. True power is the courage to face our own weaknesses and to stand for the needy, the broken, and the voiceless. God’s power enables us to lift others up rather than push them down.

But power without love can become dangerous. That’s why God places love at the center of the Christian life. Love is the essence of the Gospel. It softens our strength, directs our actions, and teaches us to care selflessly. Without love, our power is empty.

Finally, God gives us a sound mind—the wisdom to discern right from wrong, the courage to stand firm in truth, and the knowledge to understand both society and God’s purpose for our lives. Faith is not superstition; it sharpens our minds and strengthens our hearts to do what is good.

As we step into this new month, let us take an oath:

To empower ourselves in the Spirit to resist evil,

To love one another unconditionally,

And to walk with a sound mind, fulfilling God’s plan in our lives.
