Identify yourself instead of Copying others
A small poor boy from the southern tip of India is known to the whole world because he Identifies himself.
APJ Abdul Kalam, we all know how much he was interested in science and technology but in his history when he mentioned his first degree (BSc Physics) it is mentioned… “He was not enthusiastic about the subject and would later regret the four years he studied it.” He regretted it because what he studied for four years is not his idea of interest, he thought he was wasting his time in studying this. But then He identifies himself and moved towards his dearest dream to study aerospace engineering.
We have to Identify ourselves to know who we are, to be successful in our lives.
The title contains two words to discuss which are Identifying and Coping.
IDENTIFYING & COPYING
Copying: to make something exactly the same as something else.
Identifying: to recognize someone and prove who or what that person is
We can copy others practices to identify ourselves but we should not try to copy their life.
WHY NOT COPY OTHERS?
Actually, it is not possible to copy others lifestyles because each and everyone’s living atmosphere, way of thinking, family, friends, area of interest are totally different and unique. Copying will not give satisfaction.
When we talk about Identifying ourselves usually. We need to raise a few questions to make Identifying ourselves clearer Why, what & how to Identify ourselves.
WHY IDENTIFY?
Identifying our identity gives us a clear picture of who we are, what we can do and what we can’t do. What should be first on our priority list and what should be last?. Pete Drucker a famous Management consultant, educator and author say “Ignore your weaknesses and improve your strength.” Most of the time we focused to rectify our weaknesses but lagged into improving our strengths. Our strengths are our Identities. If someone excels in our weakness don’t look after him. Let him be strong in his strength. We have to look forward to equipping our strength.
Bill Gates the world’s largest software Businessman, started his career in law he didn’t hang around to excel in his weakness instead he dropped out of his college and pursue his business by Identifying his field of interest.
WHAT TO IDENTIFY?
The greatest tragedy is not death but life without a purpose. – Miles Munroe. If we want to clear in our ways we have to be clear in our life questions.
- Identify our Area of interest.
- Identify our Hobbies.
- Identify our Priorities
- Identify our Purpose in life
- Identify our happiness etc…
HOW TO IDENTIFY?
Remembering Abdul Kalam’s famous quote
Dream is not what you see in sleep, is the thing which doesn’t let you sleep.
Things which makes an impact in our life or what we attract towards. What do we admire about, or for what we appreciated?
Our blog about SELF EXAMINE will bring you a clear picture of how to Identify ourselves.
In identifying opportunities for improvement, don’t waste time cultivating skill areas where you have little competence. Instead, concentrate on—and build on—your strengths.
If we copy others we are losing ourselves, We fail to Identify ourselves. We can’t exactly copy others lives. It’s good to take good practices for others but make it in your style.
Identify Yourself it will make an impact in your life.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.
Bible Verses: Psalm-139:14

With Love,
