1st year - Seminarian’s Life
Seminarian’s Life
HERE COME MY REGULAR ACTIVITIES @ CNI’S BISHOP’S COLLEGE, KOLKATA
Hopefully, it is good to start where I’m starting every day….
The place that you are seeing in the above picture is My Seminaries’ chapel named as St. Thomas chapel, just 200 years old… I don’t like to go deeper into history even though it was wonderful… (Text me if u want to know it)
Every morning we have a chapel prayer at 8:10 after breakfast, there we have a regular systematic order of service & Bible sharing…
I am very delighted to stand where the great God’s servants like William Carey, Sadhu Sundar Singh have set foot.
AS STUDENTS
Seminary is totally different from secular college but we have some common practices like time table, lectures, homework, test, even handwriting practice for Greek etc….
The way it differs from secular college is the behaviour of faculty members, the way they treat us, tea break, personal caring, starting the class with prayer, etc…
WHAT I’M STUDYING?
It’s just the beginning (1st sem) so I’m learning all the basics & History about Bible and Christianity. Even though it is basic but My entire view is changing what I have before coming to seminary. It is challenging my faith…..Not only The Bible but covering all the religions of the world
One thing I understood from my lecturers teaching, that they are trying, that I wants to jump out of the well what I am swimming in and to see the real world
As a part of language, I am very much excited to learn a new language which the new testament was written, it is nothing but Greek, Also learning different languages for my friends like Hindi, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam and so on….
If u wish u can help me in doing this homework
MY CLASSMATES
All of them are from different states of India. We may differ in language, culture, food habits, physical appearance, behaviour, talents But United as Students by Christ with Vision.
MY FACULTY MEMBERS
The way they teach, approach,…Maturity speaks…Learning theology not only from books but also from this theologians scholars, doctorates, reverence,….
